IntroducIng the HES Tracker Systems:
Home Energy’s MicroFIT systems are an attractive investment for Ontario residents. Tracking systems are compact and minimize land use. They provide 10kW system owners up to 25-40% more revenue that a fixed array as they follow the sun throughout the day. Trackers are installed on a single poured concrete base, and Home Energy Solution supplies a project plan overview.
Unique to the HES-GT-TR systems is a tracker which looks for the maximum brightness rather than tracking by a celestial clock. This lets owners maximize revenue by seeking the most power throughout the day. For example, when the ground is covered in snow, the tracker might position the panels at a steeper angle to take advantage of reflected light. The trackers also have a wind sensors which signals the array to lie flat in high wind conditions.
Innovation
 Home Energy Solutions has designed a complete MicroFIT solar system packages for ground mounted installations. The systems are rated at 10+kW, and utilize high efficiency solar modules and a new German engineered two axis tracker system. They optimize the annual revenue for MicroFIT systems at $0.588/kWhr delivered, while adding the security of brand name solar such as Sharp and Sanyo. Unique to Home Energy’s systems are the Enphase inverters, which optimize the power harvest from the solar system by inverter the output from each panel individually. The result is more kilowatt hours delivered and more revenue for system owners. The tracking system and inverters are made in Ontario, fulfilling the Ontario content required to participate in the MicroFIT program.

The installation of the system requires the installation of a cement base approximately 3m x 3m. With the inverters installed behind the panels, the tracker produces AC power that can be connected directly to the grid.
