Morningstar MPPT
The latest innovations from Morningstar are the TriStar MPPT battery charge controllers. The 2 models have rated outputs of 45 and 60 amps, and work with 12, 24 or 48V battery systems. The MPPT advantage over traditional controllers is higher energy harvesting from the solar array, achieved by pulling the energy out at a much higher voltage. You can wire the solar array at 150VDC to charge a 12V, 24 or 48V battery. This also allows the array cable to be smaller, the array placed further away and to use higher voltage panels.
The SunSaver MPPT accepts a solar array up to 75 volts, and array sizes of 200W (12V) or 400W (24V). Its high efficiency design, full adjustability and compact design make it ideal for smaller systems.

TriStar
Morningstar's TriStar™ is a three-function controller that provides reliable solar battery charging, load control or diversion regulation. It is rated at 45 or 60 amps, both at 12-48 volts, and has an optional meter, remote meter and remote temperature sensor.

Each other controller is field selectable for sealed or flooded batteries and use Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology to maximize charging efficiency.

SunGuard
Morningstar's SunGuard™ single module controller (4.5 amp at 12V) combined all the advantages of the SunSaver charging circuit with less expensive packaging to provide an economical controller for small PV systems.
